Miami - Create your own unique batik scarf with Malaysian artist. Munirah is an Artist whose batik art workshops represent a tribute and a commitment to the authentic culture of her birthplace Malaysia. She grew up in northern Malaysia, attended boarding school in Kuala Lumpur, and later received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the University of Miami. She is passionate and proud to host this 3 hour journey into the beautiful world of Batik. Tjanting is a delicate process, requiring tremendous patience and steady hands. Through her workshop, she makes batiking accessible, fun and enjoyable for adult and children, with no experience necessary.
